On the eve of British Summer time officially beginning it already feels like I am a bit late in the day to be writing my ‘Spring blog’, but as a team we have been ever so busy preparing for our first Fayre of 2021, well our first Fayre for quite some time in fact! Like many…

Our long awaited Summer Fayre at Claydon Estate 18-19 June –now just 12 weeks away—thrillingly and thankfully looks good to go…! and whilst we shall of course be running a COVID-safe event, it’s exciting to be thinking 3 months ahead to when this pandemic may just be fading a little and not quite so fresh in our minds 24/7…

At the moment, lambs adorn the parkland at Claydon and daffodils the gardens where, come June, our mini white marquees will be lined-up. It has to be said that these past three weeks have been a whirlwind of a Spring-rush! It’s been so thrilling and humbling all at the same time, to be inundated with enquiries and to be booking in gorgeous small businesses on a daily basis (both those admired on Instagram for many an hour as well as fabulous new local small businesses come to light recently…)…all wanting to take their place in our line-up! I think as well, we are riding on the crest of a wave of keenness to get out and about selling again…there is most definitely a feeling of eagerness to get back on the events circuit!

It’ll certainly be magical to play host to these gems of small businesses – these guys are really nice folks, selling really gorgeous wares and we are thrilled they like the look of our Fayre and want to be part of the action! A heartfelt thank you to them all for joining us and as we now have only a handful of spaces left, we will soon be closing our books. From absolutely gorgeous homewares (think colourful tableware, luscious rugs, paintings, unique rustic finds & much more) to amazing fashion finds (think country glam!) to an array of gifts for all (perfect timing – don’t forget Fathers’ Day on Sunday June 20) …we really are offering our visitors the perfect way to shop safely in the Countryside!

All staged outside in the stunning, spacious walled gardens at Claydon, this brand new Fayre is the perfect tonic to our lockdown restrictions – an early Summer opportunity to safely socialise outside with friends and family whilst taking in a spot of hugely missed, face to face retail therapy! Forget internet shopping for a bit! Sound good? Get out there and support small businesses all at the same time…

As well as boutique shopping we are putting together a lovely selection of food & drink of course (frothy coffees, street food, wines, gin & fizz) to keep visitors refreshed not forgetting the icing on the cake- our FREE Demo Tent – all open air of course and ‘the place to be’ to be inspired and to pick up tips on flower posies, willow weaving and even sour dough making!

We certainly can’t wait and we hope you will join us! Visitor tickets are just £5 and should be booked in advance via our website humblecountry.co.uk
