Happy New Year!
The occasional day of glorious Winter sunshine streaming through the window is making me dream of Summer already! Anyone else find themselves doing that? It’s so warm…well, it is in the house anyway! and one could be mistaken for a moment in thinking that it is a warm Summers day… if you forget the frost on the muddy ground outside… the joys of underfloor heating hey!
In any case, in my dream it’s a warm Summers day… the grass is freshly mown and green (& dry) and the sky is that really special blue. Perfect Fayre visiting weather I always say! The mini marquees are jam packed with goodies from our clever and creative small independents who are exhibiting as we prepare to open the gates for our Buckinghamshire Summer Fayre Year 2….
Fast forward to June and this dream will become a reality! We are so excited to be bringing you Year 2 of Summer Fayre and for very good reason we’re extending it to run for three days. The care, attention and time it takes to put together each stand – and the whole event in fact – means we’d like to stay open longer. Besides, we always see a different sort of visitor on each open day …everyone knows that… Mummy’s and girlfriends often love the Friday — whilst the kids are in school and hubbies are at work, with the weekend crowd often being families or friends together and sometimes they’re in a different frame of mind, maybe with a little more time on their hands?! We want to appeal to all…
So, those are the first 2022 dates for your new diaries and then it’ll be back to the lovely atmosphere of Thame Food Festival in Oxfordshire in the Autumn before heading to Wiltshire in December for a brand new festive collaboration in an incredible venue in the heart of Bradford on Avon.
