Happy May Day from the Humble Country girls!
One month today and we will be up and running at our first event of the year as Bradford on Avon Food & Drink Festival kicks off. We hope to see lots of you down there near Bath, and we are busy with the final planning but in the meantime, there is so much to keep us busy at home and in the garden…
Inspiration for us comes in bundles in the month of May – from the very first cow parsley in the hedgerows to the woods bursting with bluebells, it literally is around every corner, and with lots more in store. We eagerly await the first peonies – a Humble Country favourite, perfect for adding that splash of colour to your home or garden table.
As the blossom on the trees makes way for vibrant green leaves why not add that pop of colour with a pompom garland to enhance nature’s beauty? Have a scour around our stalls in 1st June for some unusual vintage finds to plant up – we love a rusty old wheelbarrow or milk churn overflowing with blooms that give you colour and bring happiness all summer long. Get ready for the outdoor entertaining season – menus to plan, tables to theme and be creative with your seating plans. Benches laden with colourful cushions and draped with cosy blankets for when the evening chill catches you out can brighten up your garden setting. The Humble Country collection has it all!
So these are just a few of the things that will be keeping us busy this month, and with longer lighter evenings and not one, but two Bank Holidays to enjoy we may even find time to sit back with a glass of wine and enjoy the scene we have set…
So let’s raise a glass to a busy Humble Country season and we look forward to welcoming lots more of our fabulous exhibitors to our fayres throughout the year ahead…
